Living on the Edge

This image of California Sea Lions, Zalophus californianus, was taken from the Sea Lion Rocks trail looking across the expanse known as the Devil's Cauldron. The warm rays of the setting sun infuse the crashing waves with a golden glow. The Sea Lions perched on the rocks and surrounded by surf exemplify the unique beauty of Point Lobos existing on the edge of sea and light. (Camera Canon 7D, 400/5.6L lens)
