Summer Adventures

The Summer Adventures program at Point Lobos State Natural Reserve, operated by California State Parks, is an outdoor day camp for children ages 8 to 12. Based at Point Lobos, the goal of the program is to expose children to the joys of exploring our parks and includes visits to many other significant local landmarks.

Students meet new people and make lasting friendships, spend time outdoors doing fun nature projects, learn to use a compass and a GPS, explore the world of undersea life, birds and mammals at Point Lobos and the Pacific Grove Natural History Museum, visit the Coast Guard Rescue Boats, pick Berries and make jam, visit Elkhorn Slough and Point Pinos Light House, participate in resource projects and learn about sustainability.
