Jan and her husband, who also serves as a Point Lobos docent, were raised on the East Coast but chose to settle on California’s Central Coast. They have called Monterey County home since 1983, drawn by its natural beauty and outdoor lifestyle. She holds a degree in English Education and enjoyed a 20-year teaching career. Jan is an avid reader, walker, and traveler, as well as a dog owner, and has served as a Point Lobos docent since 2017.
