Point Lobos Summer Adventures is an outdoor day camp designed for children and teenagers to experience the wonder of nature firsthand. The program introduces the next generation to the joy of exploring, learning, and recreating in our parks—fostering curiosity, confidence, and a lasting connection to the natural world. While based at Point Lobos, the program also includes visits to a variety of local parks and hands-on outdoor recreation experiences throughout the region.
Registration is offered on a first-come, first-served basis. Program fees cover the cost of required uniforms, all excursions, and honorariums for the nonprofit organizations and educators who enrich the program with their expertise.
Registration opens February 15, 2026
To ensure broader access, the Point Lobos Foundation provides scholarships and transportation, opening the door for more youth from underserved communities to connect with the outdoors—many for the very first time. These opportunities can be life-changing, helping young people build confidence, discover new interests, and see themselves as stewards of our natural spaces.
We are deeply grateful for the generous support making these scholarships possible for a third consecutive summer. The continued sponsorship by the Kukulan Family, in honor of Jean H. Reilly, ensures that Summer Adventures remains inclusive and accessible, creating meaningful experiences that inspire young people and strengthen our community for years to come.
