After a 25+ year career working with Internet companies and technology nonprofits, Susan retired and relocated to Pacific Grove in 2024.  She is an avid hiker and supporter of local parks and was a board member of the San Mateo Parks Foundation for 9 years.  Her interest in the environment, conservation and the oceans led her to become a member of the Monterey Bay Aquarium 27 years ago and she is thrilled to now have the time to volunteer as a guide there every week.  She is the parent of three young adult daughters and enjoys regularly traveling to see them.  She has a BA in International Relations from Occidental College and an MBA with an emphasis in Marketing and Entrepreneurship from Babson College.  Her love of hiking has taken her to some exotic location including the summits of Mt. Kilimanjaro and Mt. Fuji.
